The Great Pumpkin!!
Autumn can play some nasty tricks on your skin with its winds and chilly weather. But these great treats use pumpkin, the perfect icon of the season, to help nourish your skin beautifully, sloughing off dead cells to reveal the fresh new skin underneath. Pumpkin, after all, contains lots of anti-oxidant vitamins A and C, as well as zinc and beneficial alpha-hydroxy acids.
Get your skin ready for fall with one of Mother Nature’s most beneficial products, the pumpkin! I've included below my favorite Pumpkin pie mask and Pumpkin and Sugar Body Scrub!
Pumpkin makes an excellent face mask ingredient for all skin types, especially environmentally damaged or sensitive skin. High in Vitamin A (skin healing), C (anti-oxidant) and Zinc, the pumpkin soothes, moisturizes and acts as a carrier, assisting the other mask ingredients to absorb deeper into the skin and intensifying the results.
Give your skin this healing mask for a healthy glow!

I Love Fall!!!
Fall is always my favorite season. While I’m a beach bunny at heart, I have to admit I look forward to fall! Sweaters, boots, scarves! I love dressing for fall. Even now, with it still being +80 degrees outside, I’ve already switched out my wardrobe! NO bare arms for me, it’s all about the layering. The latest trends this season are metallic’s… worn with soft whites and grays, they are the look of the Season! Along with big chunky gold and silver jewelry, faux fur… come the normal staples of winter: plaids, leather and animal prints! Fall is the time to be daring.
During the summer I keep my wardrobe and makeup simple. My uniform for summer is sundresses and high heel sandals (with a cardigan over my shoulders, natch! It is work after all!) And for the weekend flip flops and more dresses are in order; all worn with a very simple summer face. But with winter here, my beauty routine changes as well as my wardrobe. For starters I pay more attention to moisturization. With the hot air inside and the cold air outside, your face is exposed to extremes that will quickly turn your complexion dry and flaky. I apply a serum underneath my normal moisturizer to ensure my skin stays. I also apply a little more eye cream than normal. Mind you, this adds an extra couple of minutes to my morning routine since I have to allow the extra moisture to set and dry on my face before I apply my makeup.
With my normal moisturizer I add a few drops of liquid bronzer. It’s my way of letting summer know I haven’t completely forgotten you! The extra color keeps me from looking too pale. J While my lipstick colors go a little bolder with ruby and mauve, I apply a gold lip shimmer to tone down the color. Gold lip gloss or shimmers always come back for fall especially in time for the Holiday Season.
If I’m trying to achieve a snowy ice queen look, I apply a white or pink shimmer cream to the tops of my cheeks and lightly around my eyes. Very little blush is always good with this look as you don’t want to look like you have a fever with super flushed cheeks and hypothermia tipped cheeks! ;-)
Let me know what your favorite looks for this season or what you do to prepare for winter.
Wishing everyone eternal grace and beauty!
